We have been supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana– a non-profit whose mission aligns wonderfully with ours. Angelo and Romana Caputo did everything with family in mind. Above all else, they valued their family and the ability to have them close.
Ronald McDonald House Charities does just that. They provide housing, meals, comfort, and more at no cost to families while their children undergo medical treatments. The houses are located near major hospitals which allows the family to be within walking distance of their children.
Here are a few things we’ve done in the past and some of the little ways you can get involved that makes a big difference!
Pop Tab Program
Sometimes the little things can make a big difference! Another way to get involved is to collect your pop tabs and donate them! These pop tabs are the aluminum tabs you pull open soda, soups, and other cans with! These tabs will be collected, given back to Ronald McDonald House, and where it is donated for scrap metal!
An ongoing initiative, we collect your pop tabs and donate them! You can collect your tabs at home and drop them off in any Angelo Caputo’s Fresh Markets location and we will donate them for you!
Valentine’s Day Cards
We set up stations in our stores and with the help of our customers have created hundreds of Valentine’s Day cards to be delivered and distributed to those staying in local RMHC chapters.
Toy Drives
Every kid that enters the house starts by going to the toy room and picking out a brand new toy! With the help of our customers, we have been able to collect hundreds of toys and drop them off at various local houses.
Donating
Thanks to the help of donors, we have been able to donate thousands of dollars to Ronald McDonald House Charities.
We are so honored that a room in the Winfield house has been named the Angelo & Romana Caputo Room
In addition to Ronald McDonald House Charities, we have been able to support tons of local charities and events
